The WA Health Excellence Awards acknowledge outstanding achievements in the WA public health sector. This year more than 400 guests are expected to attend the evening's celebrations at the Perth Exhibition and Convention Centre. We invite employees and teams throughout WA Health to consider nominating.

Why nominate?

Reflect on achievements

All across WA Health, many employees and teams go about their daily work without pausing to consider the merits and benefits of what they achieve. The WA Health Excellence Awards encourage staff to reflect on their work and the difference it makes to consumers, patients, fellow staff members, or partners in healthcare.

Assess performance

The nomination process can be a constructive experience. It encourages team members to review their projects, compare their outputs with performance from previous years or benchmark with other jurisdictions, interstate or international. Even if a project is unsuccessful, the nomination process helps staff identify opportunities for improvement.

Gain recognition

Projects selected as finalists are profiled on WA Health’s intranet news, Health Happenings, and in local media. The finalist journey also takes team members to the WA Health Excellence Awards gala dinner, to be held at the Perth Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Finalists will receive a framed certificate and each winner will receive an attractive trophy and framed certificate for display in their workplaces.

Network and celebrate

This occasion is a prestigious showcase for all finalists and winners and an enjoyable networking event with fine dining and entertainment. It is the social highlight of the year for WA Health, its employees and partners.
