Hi, my name is Tahlia Murdoch; I’m in the Department of Health’s Graduate Development Program as a finance and business analyst.
I had worked in government previously so I was aware of the vast size and nature of the department, and I was really interested in working for an organisation that provided a crucial service of health to the West Australian economy; I thought it would be very impressive to be able to provide this service and be part of the bigger picture in the state.
It’s always dynamic, there’s so many people to meet and so many things to learn and from what I’ve gathered from my colleagues and my mentor and previous graduates, you’re never going to get bored. There’s so many opportunities within the organisation and outside of it.
So to be able to give back, it the form of better health services in the state, is very rewarding.
