It is important that anyone working in the food industry, handling or selling food for charity or community events, makes sure food sold is safe and suitable to eat.

All food businesses have a legal responsibility to comply with the Food Act 2008 (external site), Food Regulations 2009 (external site) and the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code (external site) including Chapter 3; Food Safety Standards (external site).
