The new Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH) is set to begin treating its first patients in late October 2016.
The 298-bed hospital will have expanded clinical, research and education facilities and greatly improved amenities for patients, families and staff.
It is planned for the first outpatient clinics to start on 24 October, followed by the start of selected day surgery from 7 November, with the final patient move from Princess Margaret Hospital for Children planned for Sunday 20 November.
The opening of PCH will form the centre of a network of new and expanded facilities for children and families that have been built across the State.
Princess Margaret Hospital for Children will remain open as the State's only dedicated paediatric hospital and major trauma centre until the final patient move to PCH.
An official opening ceremony is planned for Friday 21 October.
