Preventive Health Summit report details action on obesity alcohol related harm

A levy on sugary drinks, a minimum floor price for alcohol and a national obesity prevention strategy, are some of the policy responses raised at the WA Preventive Health Summit.

The WA Preventive Health Summit, held earlier this year, aimed to encourage broader thinking and community engagement about ways to foster healthy lifestyles among Western Australians, in order to reduce and prevent obesity and alcohol-related harm.

A summary report of the summit is now available. The report details the key policy themes and options discussed at the summit, and notes the audience questions, comments and main themes arising from audience feedback.
