Welcome 2018 Graduates

Seventeen graduates were inducted into the WA health system on the 22 January, marking the start of a year-long journey in the Graduate Development Program.

Each graduate will complete three, four-month rotations in different streams including finance and business, ICT, general corporate and data analysis.

As part of their induction, the graduates completed a variety of activities, designed to test innovation, leadership and build camaraderie between the new graduates before starting their placements.

The graduate cohort was welcomed to the WA health system by several key health personnel, including Director General Dr DJ Russell-Weisz and Assistant Director General Public and Aboriginal Health Professor Tarun Weeramanthri.

They spoke of the opportunities that this year will present, and the importance of making the most of them.

"This is another stop in your journey, and we want to ensure that your experience with us is rich and rewarding, which is why we expose you to as many different opportunities as possible," Dr Russell-Weisz said.

"One of those opportunities is the chance to work with talented people from all walks of life, who each have in common a shared vision to improve the health of our communities."

He congratulated the new graduates on being accepted into the program that has proven to be a stepping stone for a successful career.

Finance and Business Graduate Applications open Monday 12 March.
