COVID-19 update 14 August 2021

WA Health is reporting no new COVID-19 cases today.

The State’s total remains at 1059. To date, 1047 people have recovered from the virus in WA.

WA Health is monitoring three active COVID-19 cases: two in hotel quarantine and one in hospital, a crew member from the MV Darya Krishna, who remains in a critical but stable condition.

WA Health continues to monitor close and casual contacts of a WA FIFO worker who was a casual contact of a Queensland traveller at Perth Airport on 20 July. The traveller, who was refused entry to WA, returned to Queensland where he subsequently tested positive to COVID-19.

All close and casual contacts identified to date have tested negative to COVID-19. WA Health will no longer provide regular updates on this case.

Note: WA vaccination data for the WA COVID-19 Vaccination Dashboard is sourced from the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR). AIR is a national register maintained by the Australian Government that records all vaccines given to all people in Australia. WA data includes all COVID-19 vaccinations in WA, whether administered by WA Health, Australian Government providers or other providers (including GPs). WA previously reported only WA Health data. Note that the dashboard does not update until after 2pm Monday to Friday. A vaccine dashboard data interpretation guide (external site) is also available to help you.

**Cumulative testing and daily vaccination data will be reported on Monday.
