The Department of Health has reported no new cases of COVID-19 overnight.
The State’s total remains at 1015.
WA Health is monitoring 11 active cases of COVID-19 and 995 people have recovered from the virus in WA.
To date, the WA Department of Health has administered 124,985 COVID-19 vaccinations, including 29,032 people who have received both doses. Yesterday, 2566 people were vaccinated.

Yesterday, 331 people were assessed for testing and swabbed at WA Health COVID clinics. In addition, 1,035 people were tested at private pathology clinics.
There have been 1,134,609 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those, 147,463 were from regional WA.
To date, 94 cases of variant strains have been detected in Western Australia – 52 of the B.1.1.7 strain, 15 of the B.1.351 strain, 26 of the B.1.617 strain (Indian variant) and one of the P1 variant (Brazilian variant).

Note: The cases of variant strains reported above are not new cases. Genome sequencing – to define the strain of the virus – is a separate laboratory process carried out after someone tests positive to COVID-19. All cases, regardless of strain, are managed by WA’s public health experts. The strains previously reported as the UK variant strain and South African variant strain will now be referred to as B.1.1.7 and B.1.351 respectively.
