Nurse taking child's blood pressure with mum and dad

The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is committed to discovering new ways of preventing, diagnosing and treating childhood diseases and conditions to improve the health and well being of children.

Effective research can help us to deliver excellence in child health outcomes and the patient experience by integrating the latest evidence-based research into our clinical care, treatment practices and prevention strategies.

Our commitment to a strong research culture is demonstrated through the support services we provide to current and prospective researchers, and the research collaborations we foster with other health services, research institutes and universities.

Research Ethics and Governance

Research projects that happen at a CAHS site must be submitted, reviewed and approved by a WA Health or NHMRC certified Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and the CAHS Research Governance Office (RGO).
