Multidisciplinary team approach
This course is aimed at any health professional – Nurses, Doctors, Paramedics, anyone
who is likely to come in to contact and care for a person with a burn injury.
Content includes:
- Initial care and first aid, primary and secondary survey of the burn injured person
- Assessment and transfer of a major burn
- Fluid resuscitation for paediatric and adult burns
- Burn wound assessment
- Referral and transferring
- Burn wound dressings
- Multidisciplinary workshops
- Surgical Intervention
- Major incident awareness.
