Educating and empowering rural clinicians in paediatric and adult burns.

Multidisciplinary team approach

This course is aimed at any health professional – Nurses, Doctors, Paramedics, anyone
who is likely to come in to contact and care for a person with a burn injury.

Content includes:

  • Initial care and first aid, primary and secondary survey of the burn injured person
  • Assessment and transfer of a major burn
  • Fluid resuscitation for paediatric and adult burns
  • Burn wound assessment
  • Referral and transferring
  • Burn wound dressings
  • Multidisciplinary workshops
  • Surgical Intervention
  • Major incident awareness.
