FutureHealth WA Merit Awards – 2016 recipients

In 2017, one-off grants were awarded to 12 eligible Project Grant near-misses and 16 eligible Early Career and Career Development Fellowship (ECF and CDF respectively) near-misses from the 2016 National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) funding round.  In all, $0.79 million was distributed to emerging WA research leaders through the Department of Health Merit Award program in 2017. Some WA universities chose to provide matching funding to Merit Award recipients in Round 4, increasing the quantum of funds available to awardees to enhance their future NHMRC application.
