Registrar training

The Integrated Register Reform Program (IRRP) provides an integrated and system-wide approach to registrar reform by ensuring Western Australia (WA) has a sustainable, educated, registrar workforce able to meet our current and future demand and service delivery needs. The IRRP aims to provide a shared, communicated vision and commitment to guide reform of the registrar workforce.

As highlighted as a priority in the Medical Workforce Report, our work involves the planning and management of the registrar workforce, with a focus on areas including education and training, recruitment and selection, along with workforce capacity.

Our workforce recruitment programs are supported by MedJobsWA (external site), an online application portal that assists our health services to efficiently advertise a range of registrar positions throughout WA. This system also supports selection into Basic Physician Training in collaboration with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and our network committee.

The resources below have been developed with HSPs to aid current applicants for registrar positions.
