The Australian Burden of Disease Study (ABDS) 2011 (external site) analysed the impact of 200 diseases and injuries in terms of living with illness and premature death.
Comparisons and rankings across different diseases or injuries provide valuable information for policy formulation and service planning.
This seminar will be presented by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) (external site) and will include:
- an overview of burden of disease concepts
- key findings for WA compared to other states
- uses of burden of disease data.
