COVID-19 update – 16 December 2020

The Department of Health has today reported four new cases of COVID-19 in Western Australia, bringing the State’s total to 842.

The confirmed cases – two males and two females aged between 30 and 59 – travelled to Perth from overseas. They are all in hotel quarantine. 

WA Health is monitoring 12 active cases and 821 confirmed cases have recovered from the virus in WA.

Yesterday 725 people presented to WA COVID clinics – 713 were assessed and 712 were swabbed.

There have been 592,209 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those tested, 97,197 were from regional WA.
