COVID-19 update – 28 July 2020

The Department of Health has reported one new case of COVID-19 in Western Australia overnight.

The man in his 40s is a returned traveller who is in hotel quarantine.

WA’s total number of COVID-19 cases is now 659.

There are three active cases in WA – two Western Australians and one from interstate.

To date, 647 people have recovered from the virus in the State.    

Yesterday 845 people presented to WA COVID-19 clinics – 819 were assessed and 815 were swabbed.

There have been 243,279 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those tested, 40,976 were from regional WA.
