COVID-19 update – 31 October 2020

The Department of Health has reported one new case of COVID-19 in Western Australia overnight.

The confirmed case is a child who returned to Perth from overseas. She is in hotel quarantine and is a close contact of previous cases.

The State’s positive COVID-19 case total is now 768. WA Health is monitoring 44 active cases and 715 people have recovered from the virus.

Yesterday 791 people presented to WA COVID-19 clinics – 776 were assessed and 774 swabbed.

There have been 487,990 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those tested, 82,416 were from regional WA.
