WA Health is reporting a total of 8,889 new cases to 8pm last night. There are currently 43,118 active cases in Western Australia.
To 8pm last night, there were 237 people with COVID-19 in hospital, six in ICU.
Today’s report sadly includes one new death, a man in his 70s, and six historical deaths dating back to the 29th March.
The historical deaths include a man in his 70s, two men in their 80s, and two men and a woman in their 90s.

Of the 8,889 cases, 4,034 were confirmed via PCR test, the remaining 4,855 were self-reported positive rapid antigen tests.
A total 12,699 PCR tests were conducted at either state-run or private pathology clinics yesterday.
WA has recorded 372,414 cases since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
