COVID-19 update 16 September 2022

WA Health is reporting a total of 6,141 new cases in the past week to 4pm yesterday (September 15, 2022). As of 4pm yesterday, there were 3,615 active cases in Western Australia.

As at 4pm yesterday, there were a total of 152 people with COVID-19 in hospital, with 2 in ICU.

Sadly, this week’s report to 4pm yesterday includes 14 deaths, dating back to August 8, 2022, which were reported to WA Health in the last week, people aged from 70s to 90s.

Total PCR tests for this reporting period were15,712.

Total positive rapid antigen tests (RATs) reported to WA Health in this period were 4,328.

WA has recorded 1,145,119 cases since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
