The equipment includes more than 426,00 masks from the community reserve stock held by Health Support Services (HSS), 311,000 disposable, examination and surgeon’s gloves and 3160 single-use coveralls.
The PPE was sent by air freight on 3 June with appropriate pallets and quantities for different regions in each country.

Of those countries, Nepal has the smallest population but the highest rate of people testing positive for COVID.
It depends on India for most of its supplies, especially medical equipment – but, given the extent of the pandemic in India, these supplies are now limited.
