Nominate a nurse or midwife now

It is only eight weeks until nominations for the WA Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards close on Monday 10 December 2018.

It may seem that there is plenty of time to nominate worthy nurses or midwives for one of the Awards categories. However, with the changes to the nomination process this year, i.e. DoN/Head of School/Service Manager endorsement and submission of a statement by the nominee, nominations cannot be left until the last minute.

To nominate, access the WANMEA website (external site) and click on the link to the specific Awards nomination category.

The changes to the 2019 Awards explained in detail on the WANMEA website Nominations Explained page (external site).

Changes include:

  • A new category in 2019: The Excellence in Person Centred Care Team Award
  • A Statement from the Nominee must be included as an attachment to the nomination. This is required because interviews are no longer being conducted as part of the judging process.
  • Endorsement of the Nomination by the nominee's Director of Nursing/Head of School/Service Manager.

Please consider nominating one of the many deserving individual nurses or midwives in the general Awards category or an outstanding nursing or midwifery team in the new category, Excellence in Person centred care Team Award.
