Our hospitals

WA Health has more than 80 hospitals spread across an area of 2.5 million square kilometres, providing world class health care to our population of 2.5 million.

Three of our hospitals are managed under private-public partnerships, delivering free public health care to the community.

Tertiary hospitals (Teaching)

Fiona Stanley Hospital (external site)

This flagship hospital services the southern corridor and features 783 beds, a State rehabilitation service, a mental health unit and the State burns service.

Graylands Hospital (external site)

Graylands Hospital is the State’s largest and only public stand-alone psychiatric teaching hospital, providing acute care, treatment and rehabilitation for adults with a mental illness.

King Edward Memorial Hospital (external site)

King Edward Memorial Hospital is part of the Women and Newborn Health Service and cares for women of all ages and life stages and newborns. It is WA’s main public obstetric, gynaecology, perinatal mental health and neonatal hospital.

Perth Children's Hospital (external site)

Part of the Child and Adolescent Health Service, PCH is Western Australia’s specialist paediatric hospital and trauma centre, providing medical care to children and adolescents up to 16 years of age.

Royal Perth Hospital (external site)

Established in 1829, Royal Perth Hospital is renowned internationally for research and innovation, hosting many significant medical breakthroughs and Nobel Prize-winning discoveries.

Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (external site)

Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital provides a range of clinical services including emergency and critical care, neurosurgery and liver transplants, and is home to the State’s largest cancer treatment centre.

General hospitals (Non teaching)

Armadale Health Service (external site)

The Armadale Health Service, which incorporates Armadale Kelmscott Memorial Hospital and Armadale Mental Health Service, offers a range of services including an Emergency Department, aged care, paediatrics, obstetrics, rehabilitation and general surgery.

Osborne Park Hospital (external site)

Established in 1962, Osborne Park Hospital provides three main specialties of patient care including rehabilitation and aged care, surgical, and women’s and newborn health services.

Rockingham General Hospital (external site)

Rockingham Peel Group comprises two hospital campuses, Rockingham General Hospital and Murray District Hospital, as well as community and mental health services. Services include a 24 hour Emergency Department, intensive care and mental health unit.

Kalamunda Hospital (external site)

With over 40 years experience providing high quality health care to the people of Perth’s hills and surrounds, Kalamunda Hospital provides a range of services including palliative care, geriatric medicine, endoscopic surgery and allied health.

Bentley Health Service (external site)

Bentley health service is a 199 bed facility providing specialist care in rehabilitation, community child and adolescent health, aged care and mental health.

Fremantle Hospital (external site)

Fremantle Hospital is a 300 bed specialist hospital, offering services in aged care, mental health, secondary rehabilitation, planned surgery and specialist medical services.

Joondalup Health Campus (external site)

Joondalup Health Campus is an acute care hospital providing an extensive range of inpatient, outpatient and emergency services.

Peel Health Campus (external site)

Peel Health Campus is a 193-bed public and private hospital with 152 acute care beds. Peel Health Campus is located one hour south of Perth in Mandurah.

St John of God Midland Public Hospital (external site)

St John of God Midland Public Hospital is a 307-bed public hospital providing free hospital services for patients in Perth's east metropolitan and Wheatbelt regions.
