COVID-19 update – 22 April 2020

For the second time this week, the Department of Health has reported no new cases of COVID-19 overnight.

Western Australia’s total number of confirmed cases remains at 546. Of those, 451 have now recovered.

WA has 88 active cases – eight of those are in the regions where 52 people have recovered to date.

There are currently 25 confirmed COVID-19 patients in Perth metropolitan hospitals, five of whom are in ICU.

To date 30,594 Western Australians have tested negative for COVID-19. Of those, 5,350 are in regional WA.
