Non-Admitted Activity Recording and Reporting Policy

Applicable to: Relevant Health Service Providers and Contracted Health Entities who provide publicly funded non-admitted patient services in Western Australia.

Description:The purpose of this policy is to advise relevant Health Service Providers and Contracted Health Entities of the current and new requirements related to recording and reporting of non-admitted patient referrals and activity. This policy is applicable to all public hospital and publicly funded non-admitted patient services in Western Australia. This policy is not applicable to specialist mental health non-admitted patient services or community health services in Western Australia.

Major Amendment 30 July 2019 Mandatory reporting requirements for national data submissions and audit of existing rules have identified changes that need to be applied. This includes new activity to be reported under multidisciplinary case conference, clarification of staff who can be responsible for Tier 2 clinics, and change to reporting cancelled procedures.
