Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) immunisation campaign

Western Australian parents of eligible babies can now access immunisation to protect their child from respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).

Objectives
  • To raise awareness among parents about the importance of protecting their child from RSV this winter.
  • To raise awareness among parents of eligible WA babies about the RSV immunisation available.
Key messages
Target audiences

Western Australian parents of:

  • babies born from 1 October 2023 to 30 April 2024
  • Aboriginal children born from 1 October 2022 to 30 September 2024
  • some medically at-risk children in their second RSV season born from 1 October 2022 to 30 September 2023
  • babies born between 1 May and 30 September 2024.

April to September 2024.
