Leading great care

The Chief Nursing and Midwifery Office continues to partner with the University of Notre Dame Australia to provide a Graduate Certificate in Nursing Leadership and Management. The Leading Great Care Program was developed with frontline leaders in mind.

To be eligible, an applicant must be currently employed in a position that is SRN 3 and above (ANF Award or equivalent) or have consistently been acting into this position. Preference will be given to WA Health employees, but other applicants may be considered. 

The Leading Great Care program assists the SRN to further develop and enrich their professional expertise in leadership, management, change management and quality care provision.

The program consists of:

  • four units available on the university Black Board
  • dedicated study days to attend Master Classes
  • workplace relevant assessments.

Aim

The aim of this initiative is to invest, support and financially assist frontline leaders to undertake a postgraduate qualification in leadership and management.
