Infections and Immunology Health Network

The Infections and Immunology Health Network aims to improve health outcomes for people with infectious diseases or immunological conditions by enabling consumers and carers, health professionals, hospitals, health services and the WA Department of Health to engage and collaborate effectively to facilitate health policy and increased coordination of care across the State.

Network lead and membership

The Network is led by Dr James Flexman. He is supported by an Executive Advisory Group and two sub groups:

  • WA Infectious Diseases Physicians Group, chaired by Dr Claire Italiano
  • WA Clinical Immunologists Group, chaired by Dr Michael O’Sullivan.

These two groups bring together clinical specialists from across WA to look at clinical service improvement opportunities in infectious diseases and immunology.
