On 21 December 2015 the WA Government announced an immediate sector-wide external recruitment freeze until 30 June 2016.

The freeze applies to all job vacancies including appointment pools, regional vacancies, fixed-term, casual and permanent positions, unless an exemption is granted by the Treasurer.
