Guidelines promote healthy active kids

New national guidelines aim to promote healthier and more active kids.

The Federal Department of Health has updated its guidelines on physical activity for children from birth to five years old.

The Australian 24-Hour Movement Guidelines for the Early Years (Birth to 5 years) include recommendations about physical activity, sedentary behaviour and sleep.

Other guidelines provide recommendations for other age groups.
