Audit of a food safety program

An implemented and documented food safety program (FSP) must be audited by a regulatory food safety auditor approved under the Food Act 2008 (the Act) (external site).

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Department of Health (the Department) adopted a regulatory guideline which outlines the approach to the implementation, and subsequent compliance and enforcement, of Part 8 of the Food Act.
